Oral health is equally important for your pets. It has been shown that cats and dogs need regular dental care. This can happen as young as one year of age. Without this dental care your pet will begin to develop a layer of bacteria on their teeth and gum line. This bacteria will eventually harden and form tartar and plaque in your pets mouth. When left unchecked the bacteria can cause things like tooth decay and gum disease. This makes it difficult for your pet to eat their meals. The bacteria can also enter the bloodstream via the gums. This can put stress on the heart, liver and kidneys potentially shortening your pets life.
